Kathy began her career at the Leo Burnett Company, one of the world’s largest advertising agencies. As a creative director, she lit up Chicago with her award winning campaigns for Memorex, Kellogg’s, Proctor & Gamble and other famous product companies. Her company, Cecilian Worldwide, is a culmination of that expertise, drive, hard work and talent. After 25 years driving real estate brands, her clients say she is better than ever.
Besides traveling more than 200,000 miles a year providing unique branding solutions and strategic marketing advice for her top-level clients, she has a stack of books on her night stand, five dogs, two cats, four kids and a husband named Jeff who finds her quite amusing. She loves to cook, which not only includes meals for all her kids, but usually all their friends, too (which is fine, because Kathy’s got enough get-up-and-go for several twenty year olds).
Deborah started her career in community development and homebuilding with legendary developer Del Webb in 1989. During her 21 years there, she had a unique opportunity to contribute on the leadership teams that developed many successful Sun Cities and other active adult community types extended under the Del Webb brand. Her work contributed to increased market share, brand equity and a growing national footprint of over 50 active communities in over 21 markets in the US. Deborah held various roles in sales, marketing, residential product design, general community and HOA operations. Before leaving Pulte Home Group for a Sr. VP Marketing role at Robson Communities, Deborah held the position of National Marketing Director for the Del Webb brand where she was responsible for the 2009 national Del Webb brand repositioning effort and served as in-house brand and Active Adult expert for the Pulte Operators across the US. She has been involved in the visioning, positioning, start-up, marketing and operations of many well known Del Webb branded communities including Sun City West, Sun City Grand, Anthem Arizona, Anthem Nevada, Terravita, Solera, Corte Bella, Fireside, Sun City Anthem, and Sun City Festival.
In 2012, Deborah joined forces with Cecilian Worldwide to bring her deep understanding of the Baby Boomer and active adult market to the team. Her experience provides clients with an unprecedented opportunity to fill the gap that exists as developers and homebuilders look to meet the needs of the changing Boomer consumer.
Deborah has served two years on the NAHB 50+ Housing Council Board of Trustees, and is a frequent speaker and member of NAHB. She has served on ULI’s Senior Housing Council and is currently a member of the Silver Flight of ULI’s Community Development Council.
As designer and creative director with ad shops Saatchi & Saatchi, Motta Company and Launchpad, Jay honed his creative craft on Toyota, Yamaha, Samsung, Ritz-Carlton, Orient Express, and a slew of other consumer products.
Now with Cecilian Worldwide, he’s turned his attention towards helping to create some of the most successful MPC and homebuilder brands in the country. His creative team has won a heaping armful of national awards, including top honors at NAHB with multiple Best Advertising Campaign and Best Sales Environment awards.
Fidgety by nature, Jay is not so good at sitting still. He channels that energy into swimming, surfing, cycling, skiing and running. Triathlon racing allows him to do at least three of those activities at once, satisfying his need for efficiency. He often finishes on the podium.
He lives in El Segundo, CA surrounded by his wife, two daughters, and a female dog. Being so outnumbered by women may explain why he’s fidgety.
